At the start of Michaelmas term in October, we host an event especially for students new to Cambridge and the Emmy Noether Society. This is your chance to meet more female/non-binary mathematicians, chat and find out more about our society!
Every Michaelmas & Lent term, we have about three talks by female/non-binary academics or professionals in the mathematical sciences who tell us about their research, and sometimes their personal experiences, too.
After the end of the exam period in June, we hold our annual garden party (started in 2015), which is already famous for its prime selection of food and drinks. Guests have the chance to talk to female/non-binary mathematicians at all stages of their career.
Since 2016, we've had an annual exchange event with the University of Oxford’s Mirzakhani Society. This excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and forge ties with female/non-binary maths students in Oxford.
